Brisk Spark Plugs

We have been using Brisk spark plugs for over a decade as they are original equipment fitted to some of our motorcycles.

In the past, when they eventually needed changing we swapped them for easily available alternatives from well know manufacturers.
Strangely the replacement plugs did not last as long and did not run as well.

We contacted Brisk and are now please to offer a range of plugs to suit many traditional motorcycles.
We urge you to try them and find out just how good they are.

Brisk Spark Plugs

Brisk spark plugs have a very wide heat range, there is no 13 or 16 so they cover most motorcycle needs with just 4 different heat ranges.

This wide heat range is very useful for older type engines running carburetors.

Brisk plugs recover well from over rich mixture due to excessive choke of flooding on start up.

They will not cure incorrect carb set up, but they tolerate small variations in mixture very well indeed.

Brisk Spark Plugs

Resistors are fitted to spark plugs to reduce electrical noise, they act as a suppressor.
Our advice is as follows.
Bikes running magneto ignition should not have suppressor plugs or caps fitted.
Bikes running coil ignition either with points or electronic ignition should use either a suppressor plug or cap.
Bikes fitted with high power ignition systems and sensitive modern electronic dash boards may need both suppressor plugs and caps together.
You should always refer to the original manufacturers, but allow for any modifications, such as after market electronic ignition.

The not very small print. Cross references are supplied for information only. However owners make changes to vehicles over time, for example raising the compression, skimming heads or fitting different cams. Also vehicles are driven differently, one owner may potter about and require a plug that gets up to temperature quickly (Hotter Plug) where as another owner may spend all of their time at higher speeds doing longer journeys so would benefit from a colder plug. When ever you change plugs we would always advise to have a quick look at it after a trip of 15 to 20 miles. If it is spotlessly clean with no deposits at all even where the base of the thread is touching the head, you should move to one grade colder (from L15C to L14C for example). If the plug is dry and sooty, even at the hottest part of he electrode tip you should consider riding harder, or changing a plug one grade hotter (from N14C to N15C for example.
F2 Motorcycles Ltd are not responsible for any damage caused by incorrect plug selection.
